LEADING at the inaugural winter sale of unhaltered Limousin females at Carlisle was a third calver from local vendor Mrs M E Browns Windyhill herd.

This daughter of Glebedale Vanguard was sold with a heifer calf at foot to J and M Pirie, Kingussie, Inverness for 1400gns.

AVERAGES: 16 cows served/suckling £859; 13 heifers served/suckling £837 and 11 maiden heifers £513. (Harrison and Hetherington)n
