Lord Whitty to leave DEFRA?

JUNIOR DEFRA minister Lord Whitty has hinted he will shortly be leaving the department.

The minister dropped the hint at the end of a recent debate in the House of Lords on bovine tuberculosis.

Lord Whitty said: “I am sorry that we cannot reach consensus, in particular because, if certain things happen, this is likely to be my last intervention on agricultural matters in the House.”
