Meadowgrass concerns growing

By FWi staff

ANNUAL meadowgrass is becoming a far more significant weed concern for spring break-crop growers, according to an independent survey of 200 growers.

Cleavers were rated very or most important by two-thirds of respondents, wild oats by 61%, blackgrass by 48% and annual meadowgrass by 46%.

“The results confirm earlier evidence that annual meadowgrass is becoming increasingly important,” says BASFs Diane Lovesy.
