More brain testing

THE UK is to test the brains of cattle slaughtered under the Over Thirty Month Scheme to monitor the decline in the BSE epidemic. In line with advice from SEAC, the governments BSE advisory committee, the UK will test over 10,000 cattle over 5 years old, starting from this month.

The programme follows on from a survey of 4000 cattle carried out last year and will be in addition to an EU-wide testing programme. &#42
