New generation of box tippers comes of age

TONG Engineering says its new generation box tipper "goes that bit further" when it comes to emptying boxes fitted with interior cross-members.

Built to handle a range of box sizes, the Control-Flow 180 has a standard tipping angle of 165deg which can be increased to 180deg by lowering its in-line feed conveyor.

The Control-Flow 180 is also available as a side-ejecting version which is designed to reduce the number of manoeuvres needed by handling forklifts. This model is aimed predominantly at packing plants, says the manufacturer.

A hydraulically adjustable lid clamp is designed to secure the box during tipping.

Other features of the box tipper include a hydraulically powered sliding door, in-line flow conveyor and microprocessor control.

Designed to handle 25t/hr, the standard model costs £14,940, with the side-ejecting version priced from £19,335.

Tong Engineer-ings Control-Flow 180 box tipper is designed to tip to 180deg.
