Pea weed action
AN estimated 20% increase in the pea crop area means weed control to achieve premium markets will be especially important this year, says BASF.
It recommends an early post emergence application of Impuls (bentazone + pendimethalin) to kill cleavers and oilseed rape volunteers, both potential grain contaminants.
Such an approach is cheaper than a pre- and post-emergence strategy, says product manager Diane Lovesey. *
