Prize to be won for completing our 2026 Sentiment Survey
© Tim Scrivener With the end of year in sight – well, the Christmas decs have been up in many a garden centre for a few weeks now – it is that time when Farmers Weekly takes the pulse of the farming industry.
Our annual Sentiment Survey is now in its 10th year and we are especially keen to see how the past 12 months have been for your farming business – and how you feel about the year to come.

Our pages have been filled this year with many of the challenges the whole industry has faced – from summer drought to political incompetence, from surging input costs to various disease challenges.
But there have been upsides too, with some parts of the country enjoying a bountiful harvest, and buoyant lamb prices helping those with livestock to sell. The sense of community that farming engenders has also been a source of celebration.
Comparisons
As ever, it will be interesting to compare this year’s farming sentiment with that of 12 months ago – and even more interesting to make the comparison with a decade ago, when the industry was making its initial adjustments to the Brexit vote.
The survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete, is of course anonymous and answers will be treated in strictest confidence.
We are particularly keen to hear from farmers and farm managers who are the key decision makers on farms across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
The survey findings will be amalgamated and the analysis of what it tells us shared in our Christmas and New Year issues.
To make it even more worthwhile, one lucky participant will be drawn at random to receive a £75 Amazon voucher as a small token of thanks for sharing your thoughts.
