OPPORTUNITIES to promote the best of Irelands food and drink when the country hosted the opening stages of the Tour de France cycle race this week were not lost on the Irish Food Board, Bord Bia.
Banners declaring Ireland as the "Food Island" were displayed along the route, reaching a potential television audience of 950m. Bord Bia also organised daily tastings of Irish for visitors. *
