Protest planned at Labour conference
A GROUP of farmers, which staged a demonstration during a three-day French market in a Sussex town this summer, is planning a bigger protest at the Labour Party conference on Sept 25.
A spokeswoman for the group said the protest at the Labour Party conference in Brighton was needed because the governments response to the farm crisis had been "lacklustre and without commitment or conviction".
Calling for support, she said: "We are aiming for 250 tractors plus banner carriers to join the peaceful protest."
Anyone wishing to support the action should call Haywards Heath NFU office (01444-454395). *
