Rain hits UK wheat and barley harvest

RAIN has disrupted the wheat and barley harvest in eastern and southern England – and theatens Scottish and north-of-England crops.

Total farm earnings down £700 million are predicted, with wheat prices 20% down on 96. The total barley crop may be a little larger than last year.
