Rovida bids £31.5m for P&G


INVESTMENT vehicle Rovida International has launched a £31.5m takeover bid for Plantation & General Investments (P&G).

It took its stake to 43% when it picked up 14% from Konrad Legg, P&Gs chairman, held through Tudeley Holdings.

Shares in the tropical agriculture and farming tools company rose 1p to 82.5pon the news.

Rovida is controlled by secretive fund manager Nick Roditi.
