Tasty treats from Yorks

YORKSHIRE fare is very much on the menu in the Sainsburys Country Cookery Theatre as some of the regions finest master chefs prepare mouth-watering delights each day.

A full programme of demonstrations is planned to provide inspiration for culinary experts, enthusiastic amateurs and anyone with an interest in making the most of good food.

The demonstrations begin each day at 10am and run through to 5.30pm.

Starting the proceedings each morning is Ladies in Pigs with a range of pork-based dishes. Also taking the stage during the show is John Topham of the Angel Inn, at Hetton, Skipton and The General Tarleton, Ferrensby, Harrogate; and John Benson Smith from Hazlewood Castle, Tadcaster. They will be joined by Steve Chesnutt from Ripley Castle; Grave Mulligan, the popular Yorkshire Television broadcaster; Jennifer John, from the British Potato Council; and Judith Smith of Sainsburys.

You cant beat great Yorkshire food, says chef John Topham.
