Tuscany’s agricultural revival
AGRICULTURE is enjoying a revival in Tuscany after decades of decline, according to the Financial Times in a special report on the Italian region.
Tuscany suffered a decline in the post-war years with the migration of the younger generation to cities and a series of “ill-conceived state interventions”.
But young people are beginning now to go back, reports the FT.
The development of agriculture to provide farmers with an additional source income has also taken off, says the newspaper.
