Vet charges shock

A NEW report, to be released by the Scottish NFU next week, will show how much more British farmers have to pay for veterinary medicines compared with producers elsewhere in Europe.

The union will present its findings to members of the Scottish Parliament in the hope that they will put pressure on the London-based Department of Trade and Industry to refer the issue to the Competition Commission.
