Volatile cocoa futures persist

The highly volatile cocoa futures market is expected to persist for at least the next few weeks. It should then become clear how good or bad Ivory Coasts main crop is.

There are fears on the markets that the El Nino weather pattern will badly
hit global cocoa production. However, it is just one factor among several
responsible for lifting cocoa prices.
