Wheat futures drop again as Pound reaches new high

UK GRAIN futures dipped again this morning as Sterling climbed to its highest level this year.

The Pound was up by more than one pfennig at mid-day today to DM3.027 against the German Mark.

LIFFE futures fell for all months. Contracts were trading at £74.50/ tonne (March, -60p on yesterday), £76.20 (May, -20p), and £78.75 (-35p).

No barley futures were traded.
