WINTERWEEKEND INSHREWSBURY

SHAKE off those winter blues. Come and join us for a weekend (Feb 18-20, 2000) in the medieval town of Shrewsbury which is surrounded on three sides by the River Severn and approached via the English Bridge or Welsh Bridge.

Accommodation has been booked at the Prince Rupert Hotel, which is rated three-star and is right in the heart of town. You are assured to be amongst friends.

The weekend starts on Friday night with dinner being served in the elegant Cavalier restaurant. After breakfast next morning, guided walking tours have been arranged so you can discover Shrewsburys hidden treasures. Saturday afternoon is free for you to follow youre own interests, be they shopping, visiting St Julians Craft Centre or just relaxing in the hotel. Visiting museums and tracing the history of the famous people linked to the town such as Charles Darwin, Clive of India and Disraeli to name but a few, is another option.

On Saturday evening dinner will be served in the Darwin Suite after which we forecast there will be much frivolity and even dancing!

A peaceful Sunday morning can be spent exploring the magnificent riverside park and visiting the Dingle Gardens after a visit to one of the many churches within the town centre as well as the famous abbey, just over the English Bridge.

The cost of this weekend (Fri Feb 18-Sun Feb 20) is £110/person and includes:

&#8226 Two nights dinner, bed and breakfast;

&#8226 Guided walking tour of the town;

&#8226 Saturday evening entertainment;

&#8226 There is the option of staying on for Sunday night in which case the cost of the break is £145/ person.
