Terms and conditions for the Beautiful British Landscapes photography competition in partnership with Woodland Trust
- Prior to the submission of a photograph, please review these terms and conditions carefully. If you should be uncertain about any of the terms of have any questions about the competition please contact James Williams at james.williams@rbi.co.uk
- A picture is considered submitted for the competition if it is loaded into one of the entry galleries on our website, or sent to Farmers Weekly via email.
- Entry to the competition is free and by submitting pictures you are confirming you took them yourself and that you own all the copyright and other rights connected with the photograph.
- The competition is open to amateur photographers. You are not excluded from entering the competition if you have previously won photography competitions, had your photography published, or even earned money from the sale of photos. However, professional photographers are precluded from entering.
- You can submit pictures that have been entered for other photography competition or competition, as long as doing so doesn’t contravene the terms and conditions of the other competition or competitions.
- There is no limit on the number of pictures that an entrant may submit.
- The winner will be decided by a panel of Farmers Weekly and Woodland Trust representatives. The decision of the judges as to the selection of the winning image(s) and the commended entries is final, and no correspondence will be entered into to discuss this with entrants.
- The winning picture will also be published in Farmers Weekly magazine and online at FWi.co.uk on July 22 2016, with credit going to the winner. The entrant who submits the winning photograph will receive a £500 prize, to be paid by August 5th 2016.
- By entering this competition, you agree that Farmers Weekly can pass your contact details on to The Woodland Trust who will use them to contact you by post and by email about the work of the Trust, their latest news and how you might be able to support them. The Woodland Trust will not share your details with anyone else without your consent.
- Farmers Weekly and its affiliated companies and businesses may use and reproduce any of the submitted pictures once or more in the magazine, on the website, or in any other medium or format – both in connection with our 2016 photography competition and in any other context.
- The Woodland Trust will also have non-exclusive permanent free licence to use any images for charitable purposes
- People submitting photographs to this competition retain the right to use those photographs again themselves for personal and/or commercial purposes.
- Farmers Weekly will not necessarily keep copies of all pictures submitted to the competition, so entrants should keep a copy of any pictures they submit themselves.
- Farmers Weekly is not responsible for any loss or damage to any photograph that may occur as a result of them being entered for the competition
- Farmers Weekly shall not be held responsible for technical errors in telecommunication networks, internet access or otherwise, preventing entry to the competition.
- Entry is at the photographer’s sole risk and cost.
- The closing date of the competition is 11.59pm on Thursday, 14 July 2016.
