Eurowheat website provides disease management information

Researchers from the Endure project have created a website that aims to be the one-stop-shop for all information relating to disease control in wheat across Europe.

With information ranging from specific control thresholds for diseases to what cultural controls can be used to minimise disease, the Eurowheat.org website was a useful resource for growers and advisers, said Aarhus University’s Lise Jorgensen, who helps co-ordinate the site.

In addition, there are sections on resistance both in varieties being grown across Europe and to fungicides, and a table showing the relative efficacy of active ingredients against key diseases.

There are also links to six decision support systems in Europe, with at least one Danish system free-to-use.
