He has 120ha (300 acres) of wheat in so far, but another 365ha (900 acres) still to do and is worried how far quality has slipped due to recent rain.
His wheat has started to show signs of sprouting, but so far there isn‘t enough to affect overall quality of the crop.
Mr Dean grows Malacca, Claire, Soissons, Solstice and Einstein, saying they have all yielded roughly 9.88 t/ha (4 t/acre) with Einstein being the highest yielding so far.
