A new slug pellet applicator designed to fit on to large sprayers has been developed by Techneat.

The Outcast system allows growers to apply pellets through up to three satellite spinning disc units placed along the spray boom, metered from a central hopper.

The entire system is very lightweight, says Michael Godfrey, a Techneat agent for the new product.

“It also has no impact on folding booms, offers safer filling of pellets, more accurate application with exact cut off and on at headlands, and allows growers to apply low doses of pellets at the same time as spraying, eliminating a separate pass.”

The Outcast system is available from Techneat at a cost of 2950 for 36m and is suitable for all makes of sprayers.
