Cereals 2010: Attendance figures at 25,300
Over 25,300 visitors attended the Cereals Event 2010 near Royston, Hertfordshire on 9 and 10 June.
The figure is just down on the record crowd of 26,500 that attended the 2009 event at Wendy in Cambridgeshire, but is still the second highest to date.
Event director Jon Day said: “”I’m really pleased with the vibrancy and content of the 2010 event.
“Robert Law was a superb host, a great ambassador for the farming sector and a man we are proud to be linked with. The event has had its challenges this year with Chrishall being a new site and with the introduction of park and ride, but the exhibitors delivered another packed and dynamic technical showcase which attracted over 25k visitors.
“The event has earned a deserved respect amongst the wider public including, importantly, the politicians; to have our two leading sector leads Caroline Spelman and Jim Paice announce important policy intentions just shows the standing of the Cereals Event in the industry.”
Cereals 2011 event will be hosted by Patrick Dean Limited at Boothby Graffoe, Nr Lincoln in Lincolnshire, on the 15 and 16 June.
