Harvest almost finished
“There‘s still a little bit of spring rape to do, some linseed and a few fields of wheat.”
He said there were problems with the quality from much of the spring barley. The main issues were fusarium, high screenings and split skins, especially on the higher farms.
Despite some sprouting, the soft winter wheats were good but the harder milling wheat had lost most of its quality.
“Hagbergs and proteins were disappointing. It‘s been a very tricky year,” he said.
