Farmers Weekly arable reporter Adam Clarke is making a 700-mile whistle-stop round helicopter trip of four crop trial sites today (Friday 27 March).

He will be joined by agronomists and Bayer experts while he examines the disease situation and how to tackle it as we approach the key spraying season.

Back in 2012, the second tour revealed an escalating septoria problem in wheat crops across the UK, helping growers finalise their crucial flag leaf fungicide.
