AS OF Dec 31, sown organic grass and forage seed mixtures must be at least 60% organic by weight, says DEFRA. The current requirement is 50%. But the cost of such mixtures should not rise, seed companies have agreed.

The move comes after discussions with the Soil Association Grass Seed Working Group.
