OSR pleases Derbyshire farmer

Things look fair and are “as expected” for James Chamberlain on Glebe Farm, Derbyshire after 120ha of Bravour and Fortis yielded 3.75t/ha.

He was pleased with the quality so far given there had been little rainfall this season, but said recent rain had come too late.

The spring barley was 10 days off and the wheat had two weeks until harvest, but he was “reasonably optimistic” about them.

Mr Chamberlain added: “It all depends on the weather. We don’t want this rain now.”
