Problem free Lincolnshire harvest

John Ulyatt in Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, said he was suffering from no problems at all this harvest. “We’re going very well when the weather lets us.”

He was 60% through cutting Welford winter wheat, and 28ha had yielded 10t/ha. Bushel weights were good and there were no problems with the quality, he said. The crop was to be sold to a local mill.

He planned to grow the same next year, “the same variety and the same area”.

Mr Ulyatt added: “Things are going a little better so far than last year. We’ve one more field to go and so far I’m highly delighted with it.”
