Spuds beat blight

POTATO VARIETIES from Hungary have been pleasing organic growers with their inherent blight resistance, reports HDRA.


Nearly 200 growers tested the Sarpo varieties Axona, Mira and Tominia from Thompson and Morgan and found that they suffered an average of no more than 10% foliage blight.


By contrast, their normal varieties succumbed to 40% infection.
