Take-all seen in winter wheats
TAKE-ALL IS already showing in winter wheats, with high levels in some crops not receiving specific take-all seed treatment. The disease, which can slash yields by up to 4t/ha (1.6t/acre), was clearly present in 60% of 46 nationwide samples dug from mainly second and subsequent crops in the past three weeks, says Syngenta”s Matt Pickard. A T1 spray of take-all active Amistar (azoxystrobin) could pay, he suggests.
