Arla unveils mega dairy location
Arla Foods UK has revealed that its new £150m dairy will be built on a 70-acre site at Aston Clinton, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.
The facility promises to be the world’s first billion-litre liquid milk dairy and also one of the “most environmentally advanced in the world” as the first zero-carbon milk processing facility.
The company announced its intention to build a large-scale dairy last November, but the location has been kept a secret until now. It is finalising design specifications and working with the local authority to agree the scope of the planning application.
Arla said around 500 production, distribution and administration jobs would be created at the site.
