Cattle farmers warned of break in CTS service
The online Cattle Tracing System database is to be switched off for 36 hours while computer technicians work to resolve a series of technical glitches.
A spokeswoman for the Rural Payments Agency said: “Although CTS Online is working normally, farmers may have noticed delays in dealing with information that has been sent, including passport applications.
“This is a consequence of the current technical difficulties and these entries will be processed as soon as the database is up and running again.”
“ In order to resolve this situation swiftly and effectively with least disruption to our customers, we have decided to take CTS Online and CTS Self Service offline from 12 noon on Saturday 28 July until Monday morning 30 July.”
