Commercial stock farms on offer in north-west

Two good stock farms offer buyers choice in the north-west. Cracrop Farm at Kirkcambeck in Cumbria is home to the Cracrop and Stobart Limousin and Charolais cattle herds. It has almost 188ha (464 acres) of land in a ring fence, much of it ploughable, and includes almost 44 acres of woodland.

The traditional stone-built main house, divided into two, has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. There is housing for 450 head of cattle in a mix of traditional and modern buildings at this former dairy unit.

Agent H & H Bowe has set a guide price of more than £2.4m and will sell Cracrop as a whole or in two lots at auction on 13 July. To the south near Preston, Lancashire, Armistead Barnett has launched Big Blindhurst Farm, Bleasdale, with a guide price of £1.475m.

A traditional upland stock and dairy farm, this has a six-bedroom farm house, along with a self-contained holiday cottage and planning consent for additional holiday cottages.

Both modern and traditional buildings serve the mainly grade 4 productive grassland across 94ha (233 acres) and in a ring fence.
