CPRE publishes guide on how to deal with fly-tipping

The Hampshire branch of the Council to Protect Rural England has published a guide to help farmers and land managers deal with incidents of fly-tipping.

The guide, which is available as a download from the CPRE Hampshire website, gives advice as to which authority should be contacted depending on the size and content of the waste.

It also lists several practical suggestions as to how farmers and land managers can discourage incidences of fly-tipping.

For farmers in Hampshire the guide contains a useful list of official waste disposal sites operating throughout the county where the material can be officially disposed.

For those outside the county, it contains useful information on changes to legislation and explains the duty of care bestowed upon everyone involved in the handling of waste.
