Dairy farmer fined

South-east dairy farmer Youleite Parkes was fined 100 and charged 30 costs by magistrates in Lewes on Wednesday (25 January) for wilful obstruction of an Arla Foods milk depot last summer.

Mrs Parkes had been arrested with her husband Peter for blocking access to the Sheffield Park site.

About 20 Farmers For Action members were on hand in Lewes and had a whip round to pay the fine.
