Game Fair 2010: Event opens its gates
Thousands of visitors have poured into the three-day CLA Game Fair, which opened its gates at 6.30am on Friday morning (23 July).
The event, at Ragley Hall, Alcester, in Warwickshire is expected to attract over 130,000 visitors.
Farming will again be a key topic of discussion in the programme of debates in the Game Fair Theatre.
Farming minister Jim Paice and NFU president Peter Kendall will be on the panel at 11.20am today (Friday) in a discussion called ‘Killing Foxes, Culling Badgers or Protecting Birds – what should the new government do first to protect the countryside?’
A 10.15am debate tomorrow (Saturday) called ‘Thriving or Theme Park – our countryside in 2060?’ will feature a panel including farmer and Countryfile presenter Adam Henson, Katherine Sealy of the National Federation of YFCs and ex-MP Lembit Opik.
If you’re planning to visit the event, check out the organisers’ FAQ page or watch the CLA’s preview videos featuring interviews with some of the key people.
