Grant for dairy students

WEST COUNTRY farmers‘ children studying for a career in dairying could receive up to £2500 to help them fund their studies.

Students from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset taking further or higher education courses before entering dairy farming or related industries have until Aug 12 to apply for the NFU/Dairy Crest awards.

The annual awards were set up over 75 years ago by county agricultural college members and United Dairies, specifically to help West Country farmers‘ sons and daughters fund qualifications to enter the dairy industry.
