A WEBSITE OFFERING growers an online library of off-label pesticide approvals has been launched by the Pesticides Safety Directorate.

The free site replaces the Specific Off-Label Approval Database (SOLAWEB) and aims to be more user friendly and easier to use, say its developers.

Growers can search all PSD”s off-label approvals by product name, registration number, field of use (fungicide, herbicide, insecticide), crop type and particular pest or disease.

“The new service will be a significant improvement over the previous database in terms of its speed, reliability, completeness and clarity,” says approval support manager Rachel Brown. “Information will be simpler to search, more clearly presented and easier to follow.”
