Further payment delay on cards?
SUPPORT PAYMENTS may be delayed further if farmers who have been asked to provide additional information concerning their historic reference data do not get on with it.
The Rural Payments Agency has warned that it is currently waiting for information from 1000 producers.
“This information is vital as it must be taken into account before RPA is able to calculate and pay the single payment.
“Any delays in receiving this could delay the payment of subsidy not only to the individuals concerned but to all claimants.
“RPA urges anyone who has been asked to supply additional information and who has yet to reply to do so as soon as possible.”
The information the RPA needs relates mainly to the exclusion of scheme years due to hardship, or to business changes such as the split of the original farm business.
Letters, and in many cases reminders have been sent to the individuals concerned
