Russian growth fuels Aviagen changes

Poultry breeding giant Aviagen has reshuffled its Russian and eastern European operations with senior staff moving into global operations and the region split into two separate areas.

Due to growth in Russian operations the CEE region has been split into Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and a division encompassing the rest of the area.

Former central and eastern European (CEE) regional technical manager Jonny Harrison has been promoted to the new position of global technical transfer manager.

Meanwhile Danny Rotherham has been promoted to area technical manager for Russia and the CIS while Neil Clark takes over in the same role for the rest of the region, managing operations in 20 countries.

“The success of Aviagen products in the CEE region in recent years has seen our customer base grow substantially and our technical support strategy has to reflect this,” CEE business development director Tyark Osterndorff said.

The changes will take effect from 1 July 2010.
