THE HEAD of Poland’s agriculture and fisheries department in Brussels, Wladyslaw Piskorz, has agreed to address the Oxford Farming Conference at the start of next year.
Poland joined the EU in May 2004 and is the largest of the 10 countries to have gained accession.
Dr Piskorz was heavily involved in developing Poland’s rural and agricultural policies as the country prepared for accession to the EU.
The 59th Oxford Farming Conference takes place on Jan 4-6, 2005. Its theme is “Seizing the initiative in a new world for farming”. More details can be found on the website www.ofc.org.uk
