Firms to showcase genetic solutions at DELS 2011
A new group of companies offering genetic solutions to dairy farmers is set to showcase its services at this year’s Dairy Event and Livestock Show (6-7 September).
The Cogent Group comprises sexed semen supplier Cogent Breeding, genetics supplier World Wide Sires UK, and low-cost Holstein semen supplier Dairy Daughters.
Cogent Breeding is set to showcase daughters sired by bulls from its Visions Young Sires Testing Programme, and provide information on how beef semen can be used to unlock revenue in the lower end of the dairy herd.
World Wide Sires UK will showcase its commercial portfolio and visitors to the show will be given a special offer on the world-renowned sire England-Ammon Million.
While Dairy Daughters are set to host a series of live Q&A sessions with their US and Italian suppliers, to showcase their new bulls.
Group managing director Mark Evington said: “Against a tough economic backdrop all dairy farmers need to be able to draw upon greater genetic choice and access professional, expert advice.
“While each of the three businesses has their own unique customer offering, all are committed to providing quality, choice and first-class service.”
