Holstein calf sells for 6000gns at Genetic Elite Sale

Selling for 5,500gns was Huddlesford Sanchez Melody from T H Cope and Son, Huddlesford House Farm, Staffordshire. She is by Gen-Mark Stmatic Sanchez and out of Huddlesford Dellia Melody, a VG 88 cow which sold for 11,500gns at the Centenary Elite Sale 2009. She sold to R and E Butterfield, Ingleview.

 R F Forsyth, Baltier snapped up Dulais Goldwyn Ghost 2 from Nev and Rhian Roberts, Wern Farm, Drefach, Carmarthenshire for 4800gns.

 She is by Braedale Glodwyn and out of Sterndale CB Allen Ghost, a VG 89 cow which is full sister to the 9523kg, Sterndale Allen Ghost.

At 4500gns was a red heifer from T H Cope and Son. Huddlesford Wisconsin-Red Jodie Red is by April-Day Wisconsin-Red and out of Huddlesford SS Jodie and comes from five generations of Ex or VG cows. She went to R J and S J Kirk, Leedham.

Two entries sold for 3600gns. The first of which was Woodmarsh Sanchez Lyme 83 from M and J C Gould, Grange Farm, Shrewsbury. She is by Gen-Mark Stmatic Sanchez and out of Woodmarsh Journalist Lyme.

The second was the Dairy Shorhorn, Marleycot Fleur 30 from G G Baynes and Son, Marley Cote Walls, Hexham. She is by Fradon Jet-Red and out of the Ex 93 dam, Marleycote Fleur and sold to S Thomas, Drisgol.
