Top call in the Limousins at Stirling yesterday was a 7200gns bid for Haltcliffe Egbert from Matt and Craig Ridley. This is a Sympa son out of Haltcliffe Vicky, a Penyrheol Sam daughter and has a beef value of +34. He was snapped up by W C and M I Wood, Islay.Second best of the day was a 5800gns sale for Foxford Excalibur forward from Norman Cruickshank. This one was bred by M Rutherford, Northern Ireland, and is by Ashmore Vent and out of Fleethill Nuzzle, a Loosebeare Jacob daughter. He went to G L and D Reid, Muthill, Perthshire.
Following that at 4800gns was another from the same vendor, Cillcon Evan. Bred by John Moloney, Co Clare, he is by Ronick Hawk and out of Darragh Noelle, an Eleazar daughter. This one sold to J Mackellar, Islay.
And just shy of that at 4700gns was Grahams Equity from Robert and Jean Graham. Sired by Millgate Clinker and out of Lisette, an Indien daughter he sold with a beef value of +34 to Smallburn Farms, Elgin.
Making 4500gns was Normande Escort from Norman Cruickshank. This Abel son is out of Normande Utile, an Aldwyck Orpheus daughter and sold with a beef value of +41 to C Nicol and Son, Skene.
And at 4400gns was Lodge Eternity from the Callions. This is a Balaise son out of Lodge Daisy, an Atilla daughter. With a beef value of +20 he went home with J Lawrie, Arbroath.
