Moy Park announces £6m training initiative

Moy Park has announced a £6m training and skills development initiative supported by Invest Northern Ireland.

The investment will support a broad range of training, from management skills to service and improved IT, according to the firm, and will apply across the entire group.

The initiative has received almost £1.5m support from Invest Northern Ireland as part of its Skills Growth Programme.

Nigel Dunlop, Moy Park chief executive, said it was a “significant investment” and that its aim was to improve competitiveness and profitability.

“Our objective is to be the most effective, efficient and safe organisation of our kind in Europe,” he added.

Moy Park employs 10,500 people across 14 production sites in the UK and Europe.
