Vances take Smithfield calf title

Alistair and Elizabeth Vance may not have repeated their win in the main cattle classes, but they did win the calf title this morning with Limousin cross Bees Knees. This was bred by Messrs MacArthur Brothers and bought from Caledonian Marts in September. He’s by Dyke Triumph.

Reserve here was Charlotte Alford, Michael and Melanie’s daughter with Poker Face, their big winning heifer of the year. This one, bred by Christopher Dick is by Limousin sire Attila and was also bought from Caledonian in September.
