BvL gets telematics
BvL’s new diet weighing and recording system, resulting from its recent purchase of recording firm Dairytuner, brings the principles of telematics to diet feeders.
It allows remote recording, analysis and checking of what has been and is being fed into a machine, and sends the data wirelessly to the farm computer for recording, comparison and storage.
This allows variables such as length of mix and ingredient amounts to be checked in real time and later benchmarked. Package cost is ÂŁ3,500 for a BvL machine, ÂŁ4,500 for others, plus a monthly subscription.
