Cereals 2010: Annaburger weeder suitable for grass too
This strange-looking spike-wheel weeder has been developed by German firm Annaburger.
Designed to compete with the likes of Einbock and Opico spring-tine harrows, the angled wheels flick out less well rooted plants and break up any capping at the same time.
The machine also has potential in grass swards to alleviate surface compaction and provide a scarifying effect, according to importer Techmagri. Prices start from £11,000 for a 6m version.
