A trailed model has joined Krone’s wrapper range, offering greater capacity

The 165T runs offset to the tractor in the field, allowing the operator to pull alongside the bales, rather than reversing up to them as before.

The new machine can handle round bales from 1m up to 1.65m diameter, and a maximum weight of 1,650kg – both marginal increases compared with the existing 150.

Krone also reckons the 165T’s turning speed of 40rpm makes it the fastest wrapper on the market (the 150 is capable of 36rpm), and the addition of a drawbar has provided a handy spot for storing up to 10 rolls of wrap.

The bale turner, which is available as an option, is activated from the cab and runs on its own wheel behind the wrapper.

Krone has also moved the wrap cutter closer to the bale to keep trailing wrap ends to a minimum and reduce waste. Pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
