The addition of four monster triple-auger models has extended Kuhn’s range of cross-conveyor diet feeders.
The Euromix 3 CL series get hopper capacities of 28cu m, 33cu m, 39cu m and 45cu m and their design centres around the three vertical augers, along with the polygon-shaped hopper, helping to speedily break up whole bales.
The continuous spiral augers have seven knives with asymmetric teeth that work against two counter knives for faster chopping and improved mixing, says Kuhn.
An anti-overflow ring increases the height of the hopper to prevent the loss of material over the top during the chopping process, while the PVC conveyor belt keeps a lid on noise during unloading.
Kuhn’s optional Intellimix mixer control works via a continuously variable transmission controlled through Isobus.
This allows a reduction in start-up torque by up to 50% and helps manage power use when mixing and feeding.
