Seed is held in a 3000-litre hopper and is delivered to a hydraulically powered, radar-controlled metering unit before being despatched pneumatically to the coulters.

In the groundwork department, a levelling board precedes pre-press rollers which firm the soil in front of each tine coulter. Once drilled, the soil is the pressed once more by individual soil-to-soil press rings and covering tines complete the job.
